ACCIONA is a 100-year-old, multi-billion-dollar global company with more than 40,000 employees. We operate on five continents in 30 countries and have pioneered renewable energy solutions for nearly 20 years. In North America, we are divided into three business divisions that allow for a specific focus: ACCIONA Infrastructures, ACCIONA Agua and ACCIONA Energy.
- ACCIONA Infrastructures, our oldest business division, is engaged in projects in over 30 countries. These projects include building and developing renewable and sustainable roadways, hospitals, structures and housing.
- ACCIONA Agua is the world leader in desalination via reverse osmosis and reuse. Our Tampa Bay plant alone will supply 10 percent of the drinking water needed for that Florida region.
- ACCIONA Energy has been pioneering renewable energy for nearly 20 years and is active in all major renewable-energy solutions—solar, wind, biomass, biofuels and small hydro. All of these solutions led to ACCIONA Energy producing more than 9 billion KWh of electricity from renewable-energy sources in 2008 alone and thus avoiding 5.6 million tons of CO2 emissions.
